An international nonprofit organization founded by Mathis Wackernagel, Ph.D and Susan Burns in 2003, envisions a future where all can thrive within the means of our one planet.

We enable our vision through our mission: to help end ecological overshoot by making ecological limits central to decision-making.

Since 1993, we have created economic incentives that reward private forest owners for conserving their lands and practicing sustainable forestry.

We have helped shape regional and national forest conservation and climate policies, all in an effort to save wildlife and their habitats, create effective climate change solutions, conserve intact forested landscapes, and protect natural water sources.

Founded in 1982 by David Brower, supports environmental action projects and leaders to address global crises.

Post Carbon Institute focuses on building awareness of the "polycrisis" and promoting community resilience as a critical response. Their strategy includes enhancing systems thinking, energy literacy, and supporting local initiatives to withstand future disruptions.

PETA was founded in 1980 and is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals.

PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.

PETA informs policymakers and the public about animal abuse and promotes kind treatment of animals.
